Scientometric Portrait of Physicist Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood

Abstract - The author attempts to present the research contributions of Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, India. Presently he is the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. The study analyses the research publications indexed in the Scopus bibliographic database from 1979-2024. He published 518 research papers and received 25378 citations. His h-index is 65. He has 8 patents (up to 2013). 98.6% of his research publications were multi-authored and have received 99.3% citations, indicating a high degree of research collaboration. The study revealed that 2012 was a productive year, with 26 research articles. Muthu, D.V.S with 91 publications, was the most collaborative author, and the USA with 31.7% was the most collaborating foreign country.
