Use of E-Resources in Dr. C. V. Raman University Library Kota Bilaspur Chhattisgarh

Abstract - Today e-resources are accessible in a university library and quite popular among users. The purpose of this is to examine the impact of e-resources on university libraries. The present paper examines the various e-resources database available in Dr. C.V. Raman University Bilaspur (C.G.) Library. The investigator explored the preferences and importance of e-resources. The purpose and problems faced while accessing online Resources by the science department UG, PG and Research scholars are also Identified A well-structured questionnaire was prepare and the distributed among users in Dr. C.V. Raman University to evaluate the E-Resources facility. It is revealed that 86% respondents are aware about the availability of online services OPAC, E-resources etc. It is found respondents 40% explore electronic books followed that by 35% electronic journals it is observed that 75% respondents are satisfied with e-resources which are the available in the library. Library should provide use training and new techniques like controlled vocabulary and advanced search strategies which can make electronic search process much faster and easier should be brought to notice among the electronic resources users.
